Port Macquarie Astronomical Observatory is situated above Town Beach in Rotary Park. It's a great place to visit for anyone interested in astronomy and Science.
The observatory is open every Wednesday and Sunday night. The evening consists of a presentation which goes for about 45 minutes and some stargazing through the 14 inch telescope.
The observatory also has other interesting events throughout the year such as Sidewalk Astronomy, Cafe Astronomy and kid's holiday programs over Christmas. Check out their website for more information and their calendar of events.
